  • Investigating release memory use

The release chat sample’s idle memory was investigated and recorded. This measurement work does not establish that every workload meets the memory target.

  • Simpler shared client foundations

Call state, text fields, layout, graphics, plugin helpers and application startup were reorganised around shared operations. Chat command handling and lifecycle notifications were separated from the engine’s work, reducing duplicated paths without adding a new user feature.

  • Safer failures across the encryption boundary

The C and Rust boundary uses a consistent owned diagnostic slot for each subsystem. An unexpected Rust failure reports its source location without printing its contents.

  • More useful automated checks and diagnostics

End-to-end and interface checks wait for real readiness, settled layouts and decoded previews instead of relying on incidental timing. The automation driver identifies a pending approval, and the call benchmark handles steady forwarding on its simulated path.

  • Shared test harnesses and text checks

Core, app, media, terminal and platform tests use a common harness, while field checks read caret and selection state through the text interface.

Good things take care.

Lowfire is in development. These notes cover the project’s reviewed changes, grouped into plain-English topics. Pull requests are reviewed changes to the project; the counts also include maintenance and early direct commits. Internal coordination records are accounted for privately.

Designs and foundations are labelled as work in progress. Genuine screenshots show fictional demo content. Current reference captures do not recreate historical builds or imply earlier device availability.

Checked through . The latest day covers work reviewed through the pinned snapshot, not the whole calendar day. The notes were expanded on October 25 to cover the full reviewed history.
